Please join us for a virtual Mercy Street meeting on Saturday, May 16th at 5:30pm via Zoom. Meeting information is below. We will continue with Step 8.
From Hunger for Healing on Step 8:
The things that hurt other people don’t always hurt us; therefore, we sometimes have no way of knowing how we cripple the people around us unless they tell us. And when they do tell us, in our denial we tend to minimalize their pain and our harmful behavior and blame them for being too sensitive. We often keep doing the harmful thing and think we’re not guilty of harming anyone – based on the assumption that other people are like us, when they’re not.
All Shall Be Well
Sabbath: A Practice in Death – Barbara Brown Taylor
Shame Vs. Shalom – Lisa Sharon Harper
Spackling the Cracks – Brene Brown
As a reminder, our Small Group Guidelines remain intact for virtual meetings. To keep our confidentiality and anonymity guideline in place as we meet virtually, try and find a private, quiet place to join the meeting and consider using headphones. We have found that headphones improve the audio quality and are often preferred.
Open Table is hosting a virtual conference on June 27-28. Click the link or see the Events tab for more details.
